Meet Our North Charleston Veterinarian, Dr. Leman
Dr. Leman, a Charleston native, is thrilled to be back in the Lowcountry after practicing at a successful small upstate animal hospital for seven years.
After graduating from the College of Charleston with a degree in Biology, he left for Grenada in 2007 to pursue his dream of becoming a veterinarian at St. George's University. Dr. Leman finished his clinical rotations at the University of Georgia with an emphasis on small animal surgery in 2010.
When Dr. Leman isn’t helping clients and their pets, he enjoys surfing, fishing, attending concerts, and all types of outdoor activities with his dogs. His critters include a great dane named Tim, a boykin spaniel named Hank, and a short-haired tabby cat named Scott.
Meet Our Charleston Animal Hospital Team
December
December, who has lived most of her life in Tennessee, recently moved to Charleston with her husband, who serves in our military. She is currently working towards becoming a licensed veterinary technician assistant.
During her time off, December enjoys taking Zoe, her great dane mix, and Pete, a black lab, on long runs, and enjoys hands-on arts and crafts. December played college softball at Roane State Community College in Tennessee, so when she isn't running with her pups, she and her husband are tossing the ball around in the yard. Her favorite time of year is Christmas, of course, when she gets to celebrate her birthday and enjoy the company of family and friends.

Jackie
Jackie, born and raised in Charleston, is a College of Charleston graduate with a Bachelors in Marine Biology and a minor in Chemistry and Studio Arts. She has been working in veterinary medicine since 2007.
Jackie works closely with Keepers of the Wild as a songbird rehabilitator, and has had the pleasure of rehabbing and releasing hundreds of baby birds back into the wild.
Jackie enjoys making her own cosplay outfits, attending Dragon-Con, reading, and catching up on the latest hockey news. When she isn't working, she is cheering on our South Carolina Stingrays. She shares her home with her cat, Sissy, her two birds, Apollo and Artemis, and Moon, her deaf red heeler. Her favorite time of year is Halloween, like her sister, Nicole, and many other members of our staff.

Logan
Logan was born and raised in Charleston, South Carolina. She has worked in veterinary medicine for four years and loves every minute of it.
She loves spending time with her dogs and her horse. In her free time she enjoys going out on the boat, going to the beach, or hanging out with friends.

Nikki
Nikki was born and raised in Summerville, South Carolina, and graduated from Trident Technical College with an Associates in Science and Mathematics.
She has five cats—Alice, Aurora, Nannerpuss, Podi, and Luffy. She also has three dogs—a three-year-old doxi named Leo, a one-year-old cavalier named Percy, and a chihuahua named Vex. During her time off she enjoys relaxing in the pool, sculpting, and crocheting.
